Gotcha days are the bookings that get me. Half the dogs at our parties are Bali rescues — beach dogs, rice-field puppies, BAWA alumni — and celebrating the day they were adopted feels more meaningful than any birthday, especially when the actual birthday is a mystery anyway. Puppy showers are the joyful other half: friends gathering before or just after a puppy or kitten arrives, with advice, gifts and a cake the new arrival can actually eat. As a trainer I quietly fold socialisation into the fun; as a baker I make sure the smallest guest of honour gets a portion sized for a baby animal.
What These Celebrations Include
Welcome or Anniversary Cake
A puppy-portion smash cake or a full party cake from our pet bakery — carob, banana and peanut butter, never chocolate or xylitol. Kitten versions are savoury tuna.
Gentle Decor & Gift Table
"Welcome home" or "X years since gotcha" styling, a gift table, and a milestone board with the rescue story or the puppy's first photos. Full options on the decor page.
Puppy-Paced Activities
Short, soft socialisation games for young animals — new textures, gentle handling practice, nap breaks honoured. For adult rescue dogs, calm group games led by a trainer.
Photos That Tell the Story
Before-and-after boards for rescues, first-week portraits for puppies. The photoshoot team treats these like the family milestones they are.
Showers Before Arrival, Gotcha Days Every Year After
A puppy shower works at any point from "we picked the breeder" to "she has been chewing our sandals for two weeks". Guests bring practical gifts — we send a curated list of what new Bali pet owners actually need — and the activities suit a mixed crowd of humans plus, optionally, one very small guest of honour with a strict nap schedule.
Gotcha days are looser and lovelier: pick the adoption date or just a good Saturday, invite the dogs and people who were part of the story, and we build the party around it — many owners pair it with a donation drive for the shelter their dog came from, which we happily coordinate. Both formats run beautifully in villa gardens across Canggu and Ubud, or as a morning beach gathering for confident adult dogs.
How It Works
Share the story
New puppy on the way, or a rescue anniversary? Tell us the dates, the crowd and the backstory on WhatsApp.
We shape the format
Shower brunch, garden party or beach morning — with activities matched to the animal's age and confidence.
Celebration day
Setup, cake, gentle games and the gift moment, all paced so the smallest or shyest guest stays comfortable.
Keepsakes after
Edited photos in 48 hours, plus the milestone board to keep — it becomes next year's decoration.
What It Costs
Puppy showers and gotcha days start at IDR 1,500,000 on the Basic format (cake, decor, two hours) and from IDR 3,500,000 for the Full format with trainer-led activities and a photographer. Shelter-donation coordination is free — it is the least we can do. Full numbers on the pricing page.
